We know this is a challenging time. As a university community, we are dedicated to continuing to support your journey to earning a degree. This will be the first time in history that the university delivers 100 percent of its classes remotely for an entire term. There will be bumps along the way, but our faculty and staff are committed to helping you achieve success in your studies, scholarship, and career preparation.
There are many resources available to help you be successful in your studies this term. While we know remote learning is different, these resources below will help you in your classes. Additional resources for academic and technical support are listed further down on this page. If you have specific questions about how a class will work remotely, contact the instructor.

Just like your classes, many of the resources you typically visit on campus are now available remotely. From academic advisors to tutoring services, you can now connect with academic support services over the phone, chat, or video call. Some services may be limited or modified from their normal schedule. If you do not see information about a particular academic service you normally use, contact the office that provides the service or submit your question using this web form. You can download and use the Navigate App to schedule appointments with many of these offices and others at the university.
Canvas.uoregon.edu will be the primary avenue for your remote classes. Connect with your instructors, get course assignments and materials, and more.
As a UO student, you have free access to all of Microsoft 365. From Teams to Word to OneDrive, all of the office programs are available for you to use.
All UO students now have access to basic Zoom videoconferencing accounts. Learn how to start using Zoom and join your instructors and peers on video calls.
Adobe Creative Suite
Adobe has provided free access to its creative suite for UO students until August 15. Programs like Acrobat, InDesign, and Photoshop are available for you to use for your classes and creative projects.
Loaner Laptops and Webcams
Information Services has Chromebooks and webcams available to loan to UO students for their remote classes. Fill out the form linked below and a staff member will follow up with you.

Many students are dealing with serious financial disruptions related to the national response to COVID-19. If you are in a financial crisis that may negatively impact your academics, you may apply to receive financial support from the Students in Crisis Fund. The University of Oregon received funds through the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to allocate to students who have incurred expenses related to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Students can fill out applications for either of these funds at the links below. The Financial Flight Plan program also offers a number of resources for money management.
Summer term would not be complete without fun memories made with friends. Even while the flock is spread across the globe, there are lots of ways to stay connected and involved with your friends and classmates. Our staff has developed a number of remote opportunities for you, including a few listed below. Check the Quick Quack email for more involvement opportunities each week.
